Students of Cambrian Public School, Kanke Road, Ranchi (Class XII Bio Section) were taken on an educational tour to `Ranchi Cancer Hospital & Research Centre`.

Students reached the hospital at 9:30 am on 25th April 2023. Then Mr. Mukul Ghosh a member of the hospital introduced himself as well as the other members of the hospital. The hospital was established by the joint efforts of Jharkhand Government & Tata Company. The hospital bill is cheaper compared to other hospitals, which will be of great help for people coming from rural areas. They also discussed about the cancer, how it can be treated and about the tobacco and its effect.

After that students visited the laboratory where they were given the knowledge of cancer detecting machines and the process of testing blood. Students witnessed the radiotherapy machine by radiations and chemotherapy done by giving drugs. They also showed C.T. Scan and MRI machines.

A group photograph was taken at the end. Students interacted with team members of the hospital & were happy at the end of this educational tour.

Students learnt about the dangerous consequences of addiction and bad effect of tobacco on human body & how it leads to fatal diseases like cancer.
