`Culture is the widening of the mind and of the spirit.` and `Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known.` NEP 2020 also emphasizes integrating forms of Art & Culture as the basis for learning concepts across subjects and hence, the Day 4 of `Shiksha Saptah` was celebrated at Cambrian Public School, Kanke Road, Ranchi, as “Cultural Day” on 25th July 2024, concentrating on promoting a creative and joyful learning environment in the schools.Various cultural shows were put up encompassing innovative, creative and engaging performances by the students of all class groups.Games and Quizzes were organised to interestingly, creatively and joyfully provide knowledge on NEP 2020, Bharat’s Cultural diversity and various art forms.Inclusivity and Integrity were the primary focuses behind the activities designed for the cultural day. Along with inculcating coordination skills, team spirit, sense of patriotism, sense of respect for the society and innovation among the children, learning was also concentrated upon during these activities and performances.Integration of Art with the curriculum is an ongoing process, involving the participation of students, parents, teachers and community at large. The Cultural Day was an ingenious way of enriching the children’s minds and igniting their curiosity about our Culture and Art forms.The Principal, Dr Neeta Pandey announced that Cambrian Public School aims at planning and organizing such festivities frequently to keep the joyful learning process alive. She added that successful implementation of NEP 2020 is possible only if Art & Culture get their due places in the teaching-learning system.
