Description <p><b>A very informative and educative counselling  session</b> was conducted on <b>28.04.2023</b>,  by <b>Dr. Basudeb Das</b> <b>and his team members</b> from the <b>Central Institute of Psychiatry</b> on the theme <b>`logged-in or locked-in into the digital world of smartphones and social media`</b>.</p><p><b>The whirlpool of social media</b> <b>is engulfing the students in silence. </b>A challenge of how to live in and live with smartphones and how much is too much for them. Such topics were explained in a detailed manner. The transition of a habit to addiction is very quick and it closes all the windows of the real world therefore the need of the hour is to detoxify ourselves and lead a healthy life. They highlighted the role and importance of social media in our lives and also made them aware about the risk factor and problems which<b> children of age group 14-17 years</b> are facing because they are  using it excessively.</p><p>The queries of students were also answered and solutions to the above mentioned problems were given. Principal <b>Dr. Neeta Pandey</b> also attended the session and thanked the Chief guest <b>Dr. Basudeb Das and his team members</b> for enlightening the students on such an important topic as they are the ones who are mostly addicted to social media and smartphones.</p>
